Megan Fox removing Marilyn Monroe tattoo because of "negative energy"

Megan Fox has announced that she is removing her Marilyn Monroe tattoo.

The Transformers star famously has the Some Like It Hot actress's face tattooed on the inside of her right arm. However, in the past few months, the tattoo has appeared to be fading, and in a recent interview, Fox revealed that she has decided to remove it.

"I'm removing it," Fox told the Italian magazine Amica. "It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life."

Fox previously told the German magazine Bunte that the tattoo serves as a reminder to not allow herself to become a victim of Hollywood as Monroe did.

"It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down," she said.

Fox is currently shooting the tentatively-titled Judd Apatow comedy This is 40. Her co-star Leslie Mann recently praised the actress, saying that she is "hilarious" in the film.

In July, the actress shot down rumours that she has had Botox by posting close-up photographs of her face on Facebook.
