'Sex and the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker: 'I didn't plan for success'

Sarah Jessica Parker has said that she did not expect to become famous.

The I Don't Know How She Does it actress told Parade that while she and husband Matthew Broderick always wanted to act, they had no clear vision on where their careers would take them.

"I didn't plot a future like this, although I know some people do. When Matthew and I started working, all we knew is that we wanted to be great actors," Parker explained.

"I don't think I ever thought about money or that people would know my name. I love the work!"

The Sex and the City star recently revealed that she and Broderick do not employ live-in nannies as they prefer to be hands-on parents with their three children.

Parker also confessed that the couple's 8-year-old son James Wilkie has expressed interest in being an actor, though she would prefer him to finish his education first.
