Jared Leto has claimed that he is gay during an interview with an America Online reporter.
The Alexander actor claimed half way through the interview that he was "gay as a goose," stunning the reporter into silence.
However, the fact that the star has previously been engaged to Cameron Diaz, and has been romantically linked with both Lindsay Lohan and Scarlett Johansson throws a large amount of doubt over this claim.
When asked again if the statement was true, Leto only went on to compare himself to Morrissey - a rock singer known for his vagueness about his sexuality.
However, following a storm of press about Jared's quotes, his publicist did have to come out and insist: "Jared was kidding."
