Brooke Burke: 'David Charvet wedding was a secret mission'

Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke has revealed that her recent wedding to David Charvet was like a "secret mission".

Burke married the former Baywatch actor earlier this month on a sailboat near a private beach on the French Caribbean island of St Barts. The pair were engaged since August 2006 and have two children together, 4-year-old Heaven Rain and 3-year-old Shaya Braven.

Writing on her latest blog for Modern Mum, Burke revealed that the couple had told none of their family or friends about the wedding plans.

"It is not often that you get to plan a very special occasion, and have it play out just as you imagined in your mind," she wrote. "Even the weather was perfect.

"We told no-one - no friends, not even our mothers. We broke the news to our children just days before our departure.

"I felt incredibly peaceful, certain, and blissfully happy. In my soul, I was already married. Making the spiritual commitment to exchange vows in our favourite place, in front of our four children, with my soulmate seemed like a real-life fairytale."

The next cast of Dancing with the Stars will be officially announced by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke during Bachelor Pad's August 29 episode on ABC.
