After a lengthy legal battle for the trademarked name 'Wahlburger', the three brothers have successfully secured the title for the restaurant in question.
The Wahlbergs' partner Ed St. Croix revealed that the name was key to opening the restaurant, the Boston Herald reports.
"It just works," St Croix said. "It's a good-sounding brand we could put out the product with, a great name people could relate to."
Croix went on to say that he was surprised to learn that 'Wahlburger' had been previously trademarked.
"We were definitely surprised," St. Croix said. "It was a thing we had talked about for several years."
The restaurant will open in the coming months in the Hingham Shipyard in Massachusetts.
Mark is said to be in negotiations to star in the adaptation of graphic novel 2 Guns, as well as the Will Ferrell comedy Turkey Bowl.
The Wahlbergs have plans to open a pizza restaurant as well.
