Peaches Geldof denies "flaunting weight loss"

Peaches Geldof has hit back at reports that she has been showing off her new, slender frame.

The 22-year-old socialite, who revealed last month that she "eats like a horse", said that she only posted pictures of herself in different outfits online because she wanted advice on what to wear, not because she was "flaunting" her weight loss.

Geldof wrote on her Twitter page: "Tweeting pics of myself in dresses asking followers which 1 to buy is asking 4 advice on which 1 to buy. Not "flaunting weightloss". The day that this tabloid body image fear mongering stops I'll be a very happy lady."

The star admitted that she had lost weight but said that she wasn't eating nutritious meals until recently. "To be honest I felt great at the weight I was before," she said. "Only issue is that I wasnt (sic) eating as healthy as I should've been."

Geldof later accused tabloids of "stretching and altering a perfectly nice image" of her "to make [her] look like a famine victim" and making her neck "resemble an angry swan".

A friend of Peaches apparently told the Daily Star: "She's lost more than a stone now but no-one wants her to lose any more. She's starting to look ill."

Earlier this year, Geldof said that her tiny figure was due to her contracting "avian flu". She was also forced to deny reports that she participated in a five-in-a-bed orgy back in March.
