Ajay Rochester: 'Alex Perry hates fat people'

Ajay Rochester has accused Alex Perry of "hating fat women".

The television personality, who used to be the host of weight loss reality TV show The Biggest Loser Australia, said that fashion designer Perry should be promoting a healthy body image rather than making clothes meant for thin people.

Rochester told The Daily Telegraph: "There are designers like Alex Perry who hate fat women... and aren't afraid to say it.

"He once said to my face that in model sizes I would be 500. I understand his humour, I do, that's his thing. But c'mon, Alex - put someone on the runway that isn't a size 6."

Perry has now hit back at Rochester, calling her claims "reprehensible". He said: "We declined an offer to dress Ajay in the past, so maybe that is where this bitterness comes from. If I said something I would cop it on the chin. But I would never say something like that."

The Australia's Next Top Model judge went on to reveal that 60 percent of clients for his range are plus-sized.

Last year, Rochester admitted that she was happier before she lost weight, saying: "Getting heart palpitations from just walking up the stairs really sucked. But I got more loving as a big girl than I did when I was thin. I look fabulous, but gee I was hungry and miserable."
