'Charlie's Angels' star Minka Kelly 'splits from Derek Jeter'

Minka Kelly has broken up with baseball star Derek Jeter, according to reports.

The Charlie's Angels actress began dating Jeter, who plays for the New York Yankees, in May 2008.

A representative for Kelly told People: "They care about each other and it was amicable. They're still friends."

Kelly denied reports at the start of the year that she and Jeter were planning to marry, saying at the time that she had no urge to tie the knot.

Jeter has previously dated stars including Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster and Jessica Biel.

Kelly will next be seen alongside Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh on Charlie's Angels when it premieres in the US on Thursday, September 22. Channel 4 has acquired the UK rights for the show.

The former Friday Night Lights actress has hinted that her character Eve French "has been building cars from the ground up" since she was in her teens.

Kelly has also revealed that she drew inspiration from her childhood to play Eve.
