The Our Idiot Brother actor revealed that he is drawn to projects with engaging characters regardless if they are comedies or dramas.
Rudd told Collider: "I would say up until Anchorman, most of the stuff I didn't wasn't considered comedy, necessarily. I wouldn't ever consider myself to be a comedian even though in the last six years I have mostly done comedies.
"I just try and work on things I like and things I am drawn to. And I am certainly drawn to people that exhibit real human behaviour - both funny and dramatic. I feel lucky I have been able to do certain things that don't seem like they maybe go together."
