The 'Yeah Ya Know' rapper was granted early release on an 11-month prison sentence for a probation violation stemming from his September 2010 drug arrest.
TI was supposed to be released from jail on September 29, but sources suggested on Tuesday that he would likely be freed from jail this week.
Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson Chris Burke has confirmed that TI left Arkansas Forrest City Correctional Facility at 7.29am local time on Wednesday.
The musician will likely finish out the rest of his sentence at a halfway house or under home confinement, TMZ reports.
TI took to Twitter after leaving jail to promise fans that he's beginning a new phase of his life.
He wrote: "Feels great to be back where I belong...Back in the arms of those who need me the most... The storm is over & da sun back out. IT'S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!! (sic)"
TI has suggested that he used his incarceration to focus on writing music for his upcoming album.
