Mike Skinner is planning to run this year's New York City marathon.
The Streets' singer revealed his intention to compete in the November charity run on his website.
He added that Reebok – which currently provides clothes for his tours – is to do the same for his attempt at the 26-mile race.
"I know it seems a bit long," he commented. "But if people do it dressed as milk cartons it can't be that hard, right?"
The move sees him follow in the footsteps of fellow rapper P Diddy, who ran in 2003, and join Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, who is also taking part this year.
