The 'Raining Men' singer, who spent a reported $6.9 million (£4.25 million) on the two-storey LA mansion in 2009, has allegedly said that the vendor she bought it from deceived her by failing to make her aware of various major defects with the property.
According to TMZ, Rihanna has filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming that the woman knew about the problems within the building, including numerous waterproofing defects, evidence of water intrusion and construction issues.
Legal documents reportedly state that the musician's home was hit by a "moderate rainstorm" early last year but, due to the defects, it leaked and caused serious damage.
Rihanna is believed to have stated that "the actual value of the property at the time of purchase, taking into consideration the extensive construction defects... was millions of dollars less" than the price that she paid for it.
