The Glee: 3D Concert Movie star insisted that being in the public eye has not been as difficult on him as it has been for many of his fellow celebrities.
"It sounds crazy, but if I wear a hat I'm invisible, so I have that power. I live in a bubble," Salling explained in a new interview with Parade.
"Hollywood is a small town, believe it or not. I see the same people over and over, so it's not that overwhelming or crazy as you might think."
The 29-year-old also confessed that he enjoys returning to his home state of Texas to see the positive effect his success has had on his family and old friends.
"It's humbling. I enjoy this ride and I get a kick out of it, but I think my friends and loved ones get more of a kick out of it than I do. That's what's great about it - seeing them enjoy it," he said.
Salling previously admitted to having accumulated over $8,000 in parking tickets while living in Los Angeles.
