Alyssa Milano: 'My heart has tripled in size because of son Milo'

Alyssa Milano has thanked fans and friends for their congratulations on her new baby.

The actress gave birth to son Milo Thomas Bugliari on Wednesday, the first child for herself and husband David Bugliari.

Posting on her Twitter page on Thursday, Milano revealed the effect that motherhood has had on her already.

"Thank you for all the well wishes for my son Milo. My heart has tripled in size. I love him more than all the leaves on all the trees," she wrote.

Milano revealed the pregnancy in February 2011 and later announced the sex of the child on her official website.

The Charmed star also posted an emotional message to her Twitter account shortly after announcing she was expecting Milo, writing: "I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes! I'm reading each one w/ big chunky tears in my eyes (sic)."

Milano married Bugliari in a ceremony held at his parents' New Jersey home in 2009.
