The rapper was removed from an Atlanta halfway house by police last night only one day after his release from an Arkansas prison.
Law enforcement sources have said that the musician was taken into custody because of a dispute involving his 375-mile trip from Arkansas to the halfway house in a luxury bus.
TI had originally told officials that he would be leaving prison in a small van, not the luxury bus which actually arrived to pick him up. His failure to alert authorities to his change in transportation led to his re-arrest, reports TMZ.
TI's lawyer Steve Sadow told The AP that he is hopeful the matter can be resolved soon since the arrest was not drug-related.
A rep for the Federal Bureau of Prisons had no comment, but a post on the agency's website revealed that TI is currently being held at the United States Penitentiary in Atlanta.
TI was granted early release from prison on Wednesday after serving ten months behind bars for a probation violation stemming from a 2010 drug arrest.
He reportedly signed deals to write a novel and star in a new reality show after leaving jail.
