Jada Pinkett Smith 'couldn't cope' without Will Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith has said that she feels lucky to have such a supportive husband to help her raise her children.

The actress revealed that husband Will Smith takes an equal share of the responsibility in parenting their two children, 13-year-old Jaden and 10-year-old Willow.

"Thank goodness they have a father and I don't have to raise them alone," Pinkett Smith told Bang Showbiz recently. "Having been raised by a single mother I'm very clear on what the difficulties of being raised by a single mother are.

"It's very hard when you don't have a male component in the home to create balance and help in the decision-making. Sometimes it's nice to be able to just pass the ball, like, 'Tag, you're it, you got this one'."

Pinkett Smith added that she has a lot of respect for single parents, and still had fun growing up despite her father not being around.

Pinkett Smith and Will Smith were recently forced to deny rumours that they were close to ending their 13-year marriage.

On Friday, TNT announced that HawthoRNe, in which Pinkett Smith stars, would not be returning for a fourth season.
