Hello! will print the first UK's first photos of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their newborn baby Shiloh Nouvel Pitt-Jolie.
The magazine and its United States partner People paid more than $4 million for the photos in a bidding battle.
The pictures were taken in Namibia and shown to prospective buyers in New York over the weekend. The have been described as "very intimate, casual and not Hollywood glitz," according to Press Gazette.
The magazine's website now declares: "The most eagerly-awaited baby exclusive of the year! See it in Issue 922 of Hello!"
Getty Images – the agency asked to take the photos – summoned the media on Saturday night. A source at one magazine explained: "We were sequestered in separate offices.
"The photos were shown to us around 10pm to midnight and then we had to submit bids by 6am Sunday morning. No-one got any sleep. It was a manic game of phone tag."
Pitt and Jolie are donating the money raised to charity though they have not yet announced which ones. "While we celebrate the joy of the birth of our daughter," they said in a statement, "we recognise that two million babies born every year in the developing world die the first day of their lives."
