Lawrence and concert promoter Elmer Cole Jr became engaged in a heated argument after a gig in Bloomville, Ohio last month, when the musician's bus couldn't leave the venue because it was stuck in mud.
The row turned violent, with police eventually arriving on the scene to cite both Lawrence and Cole with disturbing the peace.
A judge has decided to drop the case after determining that it would be too difficult to prove the charges in court, reports Country Weekly.
Lawrence, who has worked with Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, is currently on tour to promote his latest album The Singer.
He will next perform in Biloxi, MS on Friday and on Sunday in Indianapolis, IN.
