Kelly Osbourne has praised her brother Jack for helping their father Ozzy to get clean.

The Black Sabbath frontman has been sober for five years. While Jack has claimed that Ozzy "just wasn't thirsty anymore" and "had had enough", Kelly insisted that Jack's own decision to seek help for drug addiction is what ultimately led Ozzy to receive treatment.

"I really believe that my brother has a lot to do with dad's [sobriety]. Jack changed a lot of things when he changed himself, and it's hard for a father to look at his son and say, 'If he can do it, how come I can't?'" Kelly explained to Fox 411's Pop Tarts.

"Also his bike accident [in 2003] had a lot to do with it. To pretty much die and be brought back to life again makes you rethink a lot of things."

Ozzy's journey to sobriety has been explored in the new documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, which will open in the UK and Ireland on September 16.

The rocker previously confessed that he "should have died 100 times" because of his wild lifestyle.

Kelly has previously slammed critics of Ozzy and her mother Sharon, telling a critical Twitter fan to "go f**k yourself".
