Sherri Shepherd: 'I didn't wear underwear to my wedding'

Sherri Shepherd has confessed that she did not wear underwear during her recent wedding to Lamar Sally.

Sally proposed to the View co-host in December 2010 and the pair tied the knot in Chicago last month.

During the season premiere of The View on Tuesday, Shepherd revealed that her good friend Niecy Nash was the person responsible for giving her the idea of going commando at the ceremony.

"One of my bridesmaids, I think it was Niecy Nash, said, 'Don't wear any underwear'. They knew me and Sal had been celibate for 11 months, so [she wanted me to do] anything [I could] do to get him turned back on," Shepherd recalled.

However, she went on to reveal that problems arose when one of the mic packs she was wearing as part of the filming of her big day for a forthcoming Style network special slid down her dress.

"They were lifting my dress and I was screaming, 'No, I have no panties on!' And one bridesmaid thought I kept screaming, 'My pancreas! My pancreas!'"

Shepherd's View co-host Joy Behar also married her long-time partner last month in New York City.
