The bash, held at London's Royal Opera House, was attended by winning stars including Bradley Cooper, Tinie Tempah, Duran Duran, Hugh Laurie and Matt Smith.
Others in attendance included Kylie Minogue, Emma Watson, Leona Lewis, Bill Nighy, Charlize Theron, One Direction and new Strictly Come Dancing star Holly Valance.
Duran Duran picked up the 'Lifetime Achievement' award, while Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne was named 'Politician of the Year'.
Among the other winners on the night were Professor Brian Cox for 'TV Personality of the Year', Doctor Who's Matt Smith for 'Tanqueray Most Stylish Man', Hugh Laurie for 'Musician of the Year', and Heston Blumenthal for 'Chef of the Year'. Dutch model Lara Stone, married to comedian David Walliams, picked up the 'Woman of the Year' gong.
Meanwhile, after completing their record-breaking '360' tour, U2 were honoured with the 'Band of the Year' award, for which Bono was joined by bandmates Edge and Adam Clayton to collect.
