Law & Order: Criminal Intent
A man convicted of stalking Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe has been sentenced to probation and ordered to pay a fine.

Charles Nagel of Philadelphia allegedly sent a series of harassing messages to Erbe's teenage daughter on social networking websites last autumn.

Nagel's sentencing had been delayed for several months as he underwent psychological testing, but he appeared in a Brooklyn court on Wednesday.

Judge Jack Weinstein insisted that Nagel posed a true threat to Erbe and her family, adding: "The evidence was clear - this woman [Erbe] was terrified. Her child was terrified. It seems to me the evidence was overwhelming."

Nagel was ordered to pay $42,000 (£26,329) in restitution to Erbe and will be on probation for five years, according to the New York Post.

Erbe played Detective Alex Eames on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and has also starred in Homicide: Life on the Street and Oz.
