Ryan Gosling 'mistaken for Ryan Reynolds'

Ryan Gosling has revealed that he is often mistaken for fellow actor Ryan Reynolds.

The Drive star admitted that fans tend to be disappointed when they meet him in person because they confuse him with the Green Lantern actor.

"They're disappointed when I'm not Ryan Reynolds," Gosling told E! News.

Gosling went on to reproduce a typical conversation with a fan: "'Oh can I get my picture with you?' And you're like, sure, and they're like, 'I thought you were more muscley.' No. 'Have you gotten, like, more unattractive for a role?' No. Just the role of my life."

Finally, the actor said that he feels especially guilty when he sees fans taking photographs of him.

"Sometimes they'll take a picture with me and then they'll look at it, and I'll see their faces fall and they realise when they look at the picture, that's not Ryan Reynolds," Gosling explained.

The 30-year-old was recently filmed breaking up a fight in the streets of New York City. He has since admitted that he was embarrassed by the incident.

Gosling is rumoured to be dating his Place Beyond the Pines co-star Eva Mendes.
