Kate recently admitted that she is freaking out over the axing of her TLC series Kate Plus 8, reportedly due to her decreasing popularity.
While she has insisted that she wants to challenge herself and has set her sights on other opportunities including motivational speaking engagements, Jon has urged her to resume living a "normal life" for the sake of their eight children.
"Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life - a simple life. Provide for your family," Jon said during a new interview with RumourFix.com.
Jon also said that he is not concerned about the family's financial future as there are plenty of ways for Kate and himself to make money to support themselves.
"Things will work out the way they should work out. Obviously there are families out there that have several kids – people work normal jobs and things work out. Everything is possible," he explained.
Kate recently said that she is glad to be divorced from Jon and has moved on from their painful split.
