Nicole Richie denies Jessica Simpson feud rumours: 'I couldn't love her more'

Nicole Richie has denied suggestions that she and Jessica Simpson do not get along on the set of Fashion Star.

The pair teamed up for the new NBC reality series in July as celebrity mentors along with menswear designer John Varvatos.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show, Richie insisted that rumours surrounding a supposed feud with Simpson are completely fabricated.

"I'll tell you right now that that couldn't be further from the truth. I actually love and adore Jessica. I've known her for years, first of all, so I already knew who she was as a person," Richie explained.

"She is someone who's very kind, very sweet and extremely smart and a great businesswoman and someone that I really respect... I actually couldn't love someone or respect someone more."

Fashion Star will be hosted by Elle Macpherson and will give unknown designers the chance to win a multi-million dollar prize to launch their lines in three of America's largest retail stores.
