The Australian supermodel, who is engaged to builder Jake Wall, reportedly spent $1.375 million (£816,000) on a plot of land at North Curl Curl last year and building work has been under way ever since.
Hawkins told The Sunday Telegraph that they have "the most amazing architect" called Koichi Takada working on the design and said that "it should be finished by January".
The home reportedly features a swimming pool, four bedrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, an internal lift and panoramic views of the ocean.
Hawkins recently said: "[Real estate] is our passion. We love it and want to keep doing projects like this together. It's fun. We are trying to turn this into a business."
Last year, the couple revealed that they were searching for a property in Byron Bay for Wall to renovate and re-sell. At the time, Hawkins owned five properties in Sydney and Newcastle and her portfolio was valued at almost $5 million (£3 million).
