Paul Wall, Baby Bash arrested for marijuana possession

Paul Wall and Baby Bash were arrested in El Paso on drug charges over the weekend.

Wall - real name Paul Michael Slayton - and Bash - real name Ronald Ray Bryant - were taken into custody by Texas police on Sunday for possession of less than two oz of marijuana.

The rappers were released from jail yesterday afternoon after each star posted $300 (£189) bail.

Wall joked about the arrest on Twitter, likening himself and Bash to Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.

He wrote: "Fresh out the El Paso County jail wit BabyBash… in the same tank they held Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash. (sic)"

Bash also commented on his arrest, tweeting: "Ain't 2much ' that abuses his authority,jus cuz me and Paul wall are."

He continued: "I'm not here to diss ALL police, they have a tuff gig and I respect that! BUT u have the ONE or TWO that will... over dramatic constable( also known as wanna b real cop) was tryin to act hard with me n Paul, haha we good tho."

Wall has scored several US top 100 hits, including 'Grillz' and 'I'm N Luv'.

Bash is best known for his top ten singles 'Suga Suga' and 'Cyclone'.
