A judge wants a psychologist to evalutate Alec Baldwin to check he is fit to see his 10-year-old daughter.
The request is to make sure the actor is not trying to turn the child against her mother, Kim Basinger, and forms part of the ongoing custody battle between the former couple.
Baldwin has been given a week to accept the court-appointed psychologist or the judge will select another one.
Previously Basinger claimed that Baldwin suffered from "severe emotional problems" and accused the 48-year-old of domestic violence in the past.
Baldwin countered by claiming the 52-year-old Basinger "has a pathological need" to turn their daughter against him and sought a psychological evaluation and parenting classes for her.
