Britney's male nanny just a bodyguard

Reports that Britney Spears had hired a male nanny after the breakdown of her marriage have been revealed as false as the man in question has turned out to be a new bodyguard.

Perry Taylor, 28, was photographed looking after baby Sean Preston - carrying him and pushing him in the stroller while getting groceries - which sparked rumours that he was hired as a male nanny.

However, the US Naval Academy graduate was in fact hired to protect the star and her family, though he seems happy to help Britney with baby-related chores.

A source close to the star told People magazine: "He's not her nanny. He's protecting Britney and he's protecting the child."
