The Hunger Games actress welcomed son Felix with husband Max Handelman in March, though she has insisted that parenthood will not keep her from acting.
Banks revealed that she believes it takes many people to raise a child and she has had to rely on "great help" to care for Felix as her family lives far away.
"I find it difficult! I miss my son when I'm not with him, but I have great help. As people say, it takes a village. I'm a big believer in that," Banks explained in a new interview with Parade.
"I grew up with my cousins and my aunts all around me. Now I live in Los Angeles where I have no family. You just have to find great help."
The Our Idiot Brother star went on to say that she prides herself on living a healthy lifestyle, which comes in handy when juggling career and family.
"I believe very strongly in living an active lifestyle and eating healthfully. I think we all know what's bad for us and what's good for us," Banks said.
"When you go to the grocery store and you see a candy bar, it's better to eat a banana. So I eat more bananas than candy! I drink a lot of water and a lot of teas. I don't diet. I just try to be very smart about my choices."
