Britney's marriage is "awesome"

Britney Spears has hit out at the media, claiming her marriage to Kevin Federline is "awesome".

Speaking to Matt Lauer of NBC, she denied the rumours of the rift between her and her husband, and said Federline is a rock in her life.

"He helps me. He has to. I'm (an) emotional wreck right now."

When asked what she would say to the press photographers who follow her every day, she replied: "You have a life. And if you don't, you have to realise that we're people and that we ... just need privacy and we need our respect. And those are things that you have to have as a human being."
