TI sent to Atlanta halfway house after jail release

TI has been sent to an Atlanta halfway house after being released from prison once again.

The rapper had originally been sent to a halfway house in late August, after serving ten months in jail for a probation violation stemming from his September 2010 drug arrest.

A dispute between TI and the authorities arose when he left jail in a luxury bus with a TV producer and his manager, which officials had not agreed to beforehand.

As a result, TI was arrested again and sent back to an Arkansas prison only a day after his initial release.

TI's attorneys immediately launched a legal bid to have him returned to an Atlanta halfway house.

The musician's request was approved on Thursday by Bureau of Prisons officials, allowing TI to return to the treatment facility, reports E! Online.

TI's attorney Steve Sadow said of the verdict: "We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect TI's rights by providing BOP (Bureau of Prisons) officials and the media with reliable and accurate information that TI did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other BOP rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta."

He will begin serving one year of probation following his release from the halfway house on September 29.

TI has already lined up a reality television show for VH1 about life after prison and has also signed a book deal.
