Ryan Gosling: 'I'm making films instead of babies'

Ryan Gosling has joked that he is in a "committed relationship" with acting.

The Drive star admitted that while he casually dates on occasion, he is dedicating most of his energy to his career until he finds the right woman with whom he can settle down.

"There's interest but I'm in a committed relationship with film. I'm giving as much to it as a marriage," Gosling explained in a new interview with The Times.

"I'd like to be making babies but I'm not, so I'm making movies. When someone comes along I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen."

Gosling was recently reported to be dating Eva Mendes after the pair were spotted together at Disneyland in Los Angeles earlier this month.

In August, Gosling stopped a New York City street fight in Manhattan's East Village over stolen artwork.
