Kate Moss to escape drugs charge

The Crown Prosecution Service will today confirm drugs charges are not being brought against Kate Moss, according to reports.

Last year the model was filmed using cocaine and the images were sold to a paper. However, despite an eight-month, £200,000 investigation, the case will not go to court.

Legally pictures and video do not constitute evidence of possession, even though experts confirmed the substance seen was cocaine.

An officer told The Sun he was annoyed but there had been bonuses. “It is a disappointment," he explained. "But we have a mass of information about the supply of drugs in the fashion and showbiz worlds."

Another source added: “We knew from the outset that photographs were not legal proof. The case would never have gone ahead if it had been plain Mr Jones.”
