The Baywatch actress declared that she was happy to age gracefully, despite repeatedly being urged to undergo vanity procedures such as Botox.
"It's personal choice," she told New. "I think it was much more popular in the '80s. People are doing injections and Botox now, which I'm not really interested in.
"Everyone is telling me I should but I don't care! I want to see what I look like when I get old. The other day, I started to really think, 'Oh my gosh, I'm 44, what happens now?' 50 is close. I think you just have to not worry."
Although she has decided to snub cosmetic surgery, Anderson clarified that she had never felt completely happy with her appearance.
"I've never really felt pretty, I always felt like a tomboy," she revealed. "A lot of it comes with insecurity when you try and be pretty, you're trying to get approval."
Anderson recently made a guest appearance in the Big Brother house, admitting afterwards that she "wasn't that comfortable" with the attention she received from male contestants.
