One Direction's Niall Horan: 'I'm waiting for the right girl'

Niall Horan has revealed that he is waiting for the "right girl".

The One Direction singer, who is currently on course for his first number one with his band's single 'What Makes You Beautiful', said that he hasn't had many girlfriends since his first love.

Horan revealed in the band's book Dare To Dream - Life as One Direction: "I had my first kiss when I was 11, but I think I've blocked it out of my mind because it was so bad. I'm not even sure it counts as a kiss.

"I had a girlfriend when I was about 13 but we didn't stay together for very long and I've not really been out with many people since. I've still never had a serious girlfriend but I would happily go out with someone if the right girl came along."

Horan also revealed that his parents first realised he was a good singer during a car journey. "My aunt said she thought the radio was on," he said. "Exactly the same thing happened to Michael Bublé with his dad. He's my absolute hero so I like the fact we have a similar story.

"He is without doubt the best celebrity I met on The X Factor. Sometimes people say it's a bad thing to meet your idols, but not in my case - he was so cool."

Horan's bandmate Louis Tomlinson was recently revealed to be dating model Eleanor Calder, while Harry Styles admitted that he is "in love" with Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays.
