Kate Ritchie: 'I'm ready to have children'

Kate Ritchie has revealed that she is ready for children.

The 33-year-old Australian actress, who is best known for her roles in Home and Away and Cops LAC, said that she and husband Stuart Webb are considering starting a family of their own very soon.

Ritchie told The Daily Telegraph: "I've always wanted to be a mother and I've found the right man to do it with so of course it's on the cards. Of course it's something we want to do, it's just a matter of trying to factor all those other things in." Webb added: "We've been planning a family since we met."

Since their Tasmanian wedding on September 25 last year, the couple have kept a relatively low profile. They have rarely been spotted attending public events and have been more often seen walking their dog in Sydney's suburbs.

Ritchie was rumoured to be pregnant after being photographed wearing loose clothes and hiding her stomach with bags in March. She was also spotted buying baby clothes, but her manager insisted that they were for a friend.

After quitting Home and Away in 2007, Ritchie admitted that she wasn't sure if she would be "okay", but later became "confident" through other acting and radio presenting jobs.
