Mel B: 'I've finally done pregnancy right with Stephen Belafonte'

Mel B has said that she feels she has got motherhood off to the right start for a third time, thanks to husband Stephen Belafonte.

The former Spice Girls star gave birth to new daughter Madison earlier this month. She has two children from two previous relationships - Phoenix Chi, 12, with first husband Jimmy Gulzar and Angel Irish, 4, with actor Eddie Murphy.

"I had a rocky marriage with Phoenix's dad. The relationship with Angel's dad was over halfway through the pregnancy, and I had to suck it up and get on with it," she told Hello magazine.

"This time I've done it with my partner - someone to get excited by every scan - and it feels like I've finally done it right."

Speaking about giving birth to Madison, the X Factor Australia judge said that she laughed through labour.

"Five big chuckles and she was out," she said.

The couple introduce their first child together, born three weeks overdue, in the new issue of the magazine.
