Criss Angel engaged to Sandra Gonzalez

Criss Angel has got engaged to his girlfriend Sandra Gonzalez.

Angel proposed to Gonzalez on September 7 while the two were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, People reports.

"The couple is ecstatic," a rep for Angel said.

The 43-year-old presented his fiancée with a 5-carat diamond and platinum ring, which he personally designed with the aid of jeweller Leayne Kaye.

The illusionist met Gonzalez on the set of his television series Mindfreak four years ago.

In March, Angel was inducted into the International Magic Society Hall of Fame, becoming the youngest inductee ever.

In 2007, the illusionist denied claims that he was dating Britney Spears, saying that the two simply share a manager.
