The former Two and a Half Men actor, who lost a custody battle against Richards earlier this year, ensuring her full custody of the girls, is said to want more time with them over the upcoming months.
"By his own choice Charlie has seen his daughters twice this year and it's September. Now he has decided he wants to see them more and is threatening to take Denise to court," an apparent insider told The Huffington Post.
However, a separate source insisted that Sheen has not been banned from seeing his daughters and would be more than welcome to visit should he decide to.
"Denise would welcome Charlie to be more involved in his daughters' lives. He is welcome to attend school meetings and after school events as well as attend holidays and family time with his children. He chooses not to," the source said.
Earlier this year, Sheen also failed to convince a judge that he should have full custody of twin sons Bob and Mac with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
