Jodi Gordon's former biker friend Mark Judge has recovered from being stabbed eight times last month.

The alleged gang member, who was caught hiding in a flat with Home and Away star Gordon in 2009 after an alleged drug-fuelled episode, was in an induced coma in hospital three weeks ago. However, he has now been discharged and was spotted on a night out in Kings Cross at the weekend.

Judge told The Daily Telegraph: "What can you do? You've got to get on with your life. I checked myself out after a week. I got away for a while to Byron [Bay] with the boys just to take it easy [and] came back the other day."

He confirmed that he received 400 stitches in his chest and stomach where an armed attacker repeatedly stabbed him with a knife in the garage of his Bellevue Hill apartment.

When asked if he had been meeting with police detectives to help find his attacker, Judge added: "No. It's a cold case as far I'm concerned."

A police source recently said that Judge's history of violent assault and drug offences, together with links to a bikie gang, could produce a long list of potential suspects. One senior officer said: "With his reputation and history, it could be anybody."

Since Judge was convicted of drug possession in 2002, assault in 2005 and hindering a police officer in 2008, he has been forced to take regular drug tests, but all have come back negative.
