Rachael Finch appears on Brownlow red carpet without engagement ring

Rachael Finch has been spotted without her engagement ring.

The former Miss Universe Australia, who hosted last night's sporting event the Brownlow Medal, got engaged to dancer Michael Miziner last month after they met as partners on Dancing with the Stars.

Finch's co-host Hamish McLachlan asked Finch where the 1.2-carat diamond ring was, to which she replied: "It didn't match my outfit."

Collingwood footballer Shae McNamara later slammed Finch's explanation on his Twitter page, writing: "It didn't match my outfit... YOUR OUT! Pawn that ring cuz if that dude has any balls, he'd ditch her within seconds of hearing that crap! (sic)"

After Miziner's proposal, Finch admitted that he "did well" choosing the engagement ring all by himself, saying: "I love it." She also said that she knew "he was going to be by [her] side" for ever from the first day she met him, but added that they would be having a "long engagement".

In July, Finch said that she felt "sad" that they were being plagued by split rumours, adding: "We're definitely still together".
