Various Australian WAGs have revealed that they feel pressure to look good at red carpet ceremonies.

The pregnant partners who were photographed at last night's high-fashion Brownlow Medal sporting event said that they didn't want to be scrutinised for their fashion sense because they are expecting babies.

Lynette Bolton, who is married to Sydney Swans' Australian rules footballer Jude, wore an Alex Perry dress. She told the Herald Sun: "I was a little bit nervous because there was a little bit of talk about it but I'm at the stage now where it doesn't look like I've eaten too much."

Haylea MacCann - girlfriend of Western Bulldogs player Adam Cooney - said that she was enjoying "letting it all hang out", adding: "At least I've got an excuse this year".

Alisha Scotland, who gave birth to son Heath earlier this year, said that she felt pressure to return to her pre-pregnancy size for the event, "especially when Rebecca [Judd] looks the way she does after just two months".

Judd made her catwalk comeback only six weeks after giving birth to son Oscar, but insisted at last night's Brownlow ceremony that her corset was doing all the hard work because it "sucks it all in".

Earlier this week, Shaun Burgoyne's wife Amy admitted that all the wives and girlfriends find the event "stressful" because they are expected to look like supermodels when they're actually "just normal, regular girls".
