Jessica Alba: 'Haven's birth was unusual'

Jessica Alba has revealed that her second child was born under unusual circumstances.

The Little Fockers actress welcomed daughter Haven Garner with husband Cash Warren in mid-August. In an interview with Britain's OK, Alba opened up about the meaning behind Haven's name.

"When I delivered Haven she was born still inside the amniotic sac, which is rare," Alba said. "When I was in recovery we still hadn't chosen her name. Cash picked her up and said she came into the world in her 'safe haven' and it clicked right then for both of us."

The actress went on to say that she found her second experience with labour to be more painful.

"I wasn't screaming and hollering like you see in the movies but it was still intense," Alba said. "I didn't scream for either but I was definitely more uncomfortable with the second. Labour is painful."

Alba recently revealed that she has started her post-baby workout routine only three weeks after giving birth to Haven.

Last month, the 30-year-old insisted that she won't let her kids become child actors, despite starting out in the industry herself at the age of 12.
