Rachael Finch laughs off "funny" Michael Miziner split rumours

Rachael Finch has hit back at reports of a split from fiancé Michael Miziner.

The Australian swimwear model, who announced her engagement to former Dancing with the Stars partner Miziner last month, caused controversy by hosting part of Monday night's Brownlow Medal event without her engagement ring on.

When quizzed about it at the time by co-presenter Hamish McLachlan, Finch said: "It didn't match my outfit."

Collingwood footballer Shae McNamara, who was also at the event, then took to Twitter to slam Finch's explanation, writing: "It didn't match my outfit... YOUR OUT! Pawn that ring cuz if that dude has any balls, he'd ditch her within seconds of hearing that crap! (sic)"

Finch has now hit back at critics, saying that she doesn't need to explain her relationship to anybody.

"I have heard the comments," she told the Herald Sun."I think it is funny that people think I need a ring to prove my commitment to Michael."

In July, Finch and Miziner were rumoured to be experiencing relationship problems. She said that she felt "sad" about the split reports, but insisted: "We're definitely still together."

Shortly after accepting Miznier's proposal, Finch said that she wants to have a "long engagement", adding: "It's just been amazing to share the news with everyone and I'll take a while before I go shopping for a wedding dress."
