The actress told Stylist that having a near-death experience when she was accidentally given a large dose of antibiotics into a vein "totally" changed her outlook on life.
Seymour said: "Mercifully I was resuscitated but there was a period where I left my body and clearly and calmly saw this man screaming on the telephone, and my naked body lying on the bed with syringes in my backside.
"It was a pretty extraordinary experience, and I've spoken to a lot of people who have had similar things happen."
Seymour added: "Christopher Reeve told me it happened to him after his accident. I now have no time for people who bitch and moan."
Seymour recently admitted that it was "beyond embarrassing" when she suggested at a movie premiere that Arnold Schwarzenegger may have fathered more children with women other than his wife.
