Celebs awarded honorary degrees

Two celebrities today received honorary degrees from Scottish universities.
Midge Ure, one of the men behind Live Aid, and Joanna Lumley, of Absolutely Fabulous fame, both attended ceremonies to receive their qualifications.
Ure was honoured as a Doctor of Music at the University of Edinburgh, while Lumley is now a Doctor of Letters thanks to the University of St Andrews.
Lumley was thrilled by her degree, saying: "It is an astonishing thing - it is absolutely brilliant and really wonderful."
