Gene Simmons marries Shannon Tweed

Gene Simmons and long-term partner Shannon Tweed wed yesterday after 28 years together, Us Weekly confirmed.

The couple, who are parents to 22-year-old Nick and 19-year-old Sophie, announced their engagement earlier this year and were married outside the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The wedding was filmed for a special episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and was attended by 400 guests including the likes of Hugh Hefner and Bill Maher.

The ceremony went ahead despite Tweed's own admission back in July that the couple were on the verge of splitting up.
