John Travolta didn't meet with John Gotti's widow, says lawyer

John Travolta has apparently not met with the late John Gotti's family, contrary to several news reports.

Travolta will star as the crime boss in the upcoming biopic Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father.

A number of news outlets claimed that Travolta toured the Gotti home and discussed the movie with John's widow and children on September 22 in order to research his role.

The Gotti family attorney Charles Carnesi confirmed that Travolta did visit the family's home, but insisted that John's widow Victoria and son John Jr weren't present at the tour, reports The AP.

Ben Foster recently signed on to join Travolta, Al Pacino and Kelly Preston in the cast of Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father, which is being directed by Barry Levinson.

Joe Pesci has filed a $3m (£1.8 million) lawsuit against the film's producers for breach of contract.
