'Hung' star Thomas Jane: 'I had sex with men for money as a teen'

Thomas Jane has admitted that he had sex with men for money as a teenager.

The Hung actor told The Los Angeles Times that while he performed the acts in order to get by, he has no regrets about the experience as it taught him a lot about life.

"As James Dean said, you're going to have one arm tied behind your back if you don't accept people's sexual flavours," Jane explained.

"When I was a kid out here in LA, I was homeless. I didn't have any money and I was living in my car. I wasn't averse to going down to Santa Monica Boulevard and letting a guy buy me a sandwich. Know what I mean?"

He continued: "You're a lot more open to experimentation as a young man. And for me, being a young artist and broke in Los Angeles, I was exploring my sexual identity."

Jane split from former wife Patricia Arquette in August 2010. The pair divorced in July 2011.
